Life Support arrange a number of fundraisers throughout the year but we can’t do it all on our own. We really appreciate our supporters getting involved and arranging fundraisers in their local communities. If you would like to run a fundraiser but are stuck for ideas here are some to inspire you.

host your own african themed meal

Nothing gets people together like good food, so what better way to raise money for an amazing cause, than to host your own African themed lunch or dinner. Maybe get them to dress up, have a quiz, learn some new recipes, we have everything you need to help you mak it a really special evening.

other ideas…

Running

If you love running then how about running a 10k, half marathon or if you’re really brave a full marathon! Ask your friends and family to sponsor you, you may be surprised how much people will give.

Host an Afternoon Tea Party

This fundraiser always goes down well, everyone loves tea and cake! Get lots of people to make cakes and bring them along. You can charge people an entry fee and then allow them to help themselves to as much tea, coffee and cake as they like. We have also found just asking for donations for the tea, coffee and cake to work really well too.

Quiz Night

Quiz Nights always prove popular you can charge between £10 and £20 per head, depending on what’s on offer. Get someone to do a presentation half way through and top up the funds a bit more with a raffle at the end!

At any event remember…

Have literature about Life Support and our projects available for people to read and take away. Send us an email and we can get this over to you. We can usually provide some merchandise from Zambia if you would like to sell this at your event. Don’t forget we can gift aid donations and sponsorship in many cases.

Trips and Volunteers

We warmly welcome visitors to our projects, with several trips arranged each year. If you’re interested in seeing our work firsthand, please get in touch with us. Life Support hosts school, church, and community group visits at Eden Farm, which is equipped to accommodate up to 30 visitors comfortably. We are always eager for skilled volunteers to help enhance our projects, though we equally value those who wish to contribute in any way they can.

While visits to our other project sites are possible, Zambia offers the most convenient and cost-effective experience, as well as a warm and friendly culture to explore. Whether you choose to visit Eden Farm in Zambia or one of our projects in Malawi, Rwanda, or Uganda, you’re sure to find it a memorable experience.

Please note: To ensure the safety and well-being of those we support, all applicants must provide references and agree to our safeguarding and behaviour policies.
